Jonas Akerlands the very famous music video director that has worked with many big stars such as Lady Gaga and Madonna. He was was born on the 10th of November 1965 and is a swedish film and music video director. His style in making music videos in which he is most famous for is making short films and movie trailers out of a music video. For instance, the music video telephone which stars Lady Gaga and Beyonce is a short movie showing off the two worldwide superstars perfoming the song alongside each other.
Akerlands Life...
Akerlands first musical apearance was in a band called 'Black Metal' in which he was the drummer to. This was his first start into the comepetative bussiness and what gave him his drive to become a music video director. His path to the limelight was directing a music video to the well known Swedish pop band 'Roxette'. In 1997 there were mixed reviews about him as he directed 'The Prodigy's music video "Smack My Bitch Up" which raged mixed reviews by the use of drugs, violence, and nudity. In 1998 he worked with queen of pop Madonna with the song ' Ray Of Light'. Since his rise to fame he has worked with many famous artists such as Metallica, Christina Agruleria, U2, Blink-182, P!nk, Rammstien, Britney Spears, and Smashing Pumpkins. As you can see, he had a very broad range that he directed for in terms of genre and made success in all of them. In 2002 Akerland released his first full length movie called 'Spun' which follows the life of 'William De Los Santos'. He also directs for adverts and recently driected an advert for a swedish clothing retailer.

In conclusion
Like many others, Akerlun is a brilliant music video director, and his unique set of style and knoowledge he has in this type of industry is what pushes him past the others as one ofmy top three music video directors.
